District 2 City Council Candidates Forum

Mobile’s historic districts, the Historic Mobile Preservation Society and the Government Street Collaborative sponsored a candidates forum at the historic Leinkauf Elementary School Auditorium. Candidates attending were Councilor William Carroll, Samantha Ingram and Reggie Hill. A meet and greet was scheduled before the forum allowing citizens to speak with and ask direct questions to the candidates. A formal questions and answer session followed. Questions for the candidates were submitted by District 2 residents and organizations on a variety of issues. Candidates were given the questions 2 days prior to the forum. In addition to the political forum, the historic districts raised funds and items for the Leinkauf School Back-to-school Supplies fund. The funds drive will continue up to the beginning of the 2025-26 school year. Donations may be made via the donation portal located on the Leinkauf Historic District Neighborhood Organizations website at https://www.leinkauf.org/school. Donations through the portal are paid through PayPal and will be given to the school prior to the new year.
