Enjoy the Gulf Coast's Largest Second Line Parade. Live music, food, vendors and the culture of Mardi Gras. Bring the whole family and enjoy all the festivities in downtown Mobile. All the fun begins with the parade at 3:00 that begins at Springhill Avenue and Broad Street. They'll be following this route: From Broad St. at Springhill Ave., it will travel north on Broad St. to Congress St.; east on Congress St. to Washington Ave.; south on Washington Ave. to Dauphin St.; east on Dauphin St. to Claiborne St. and disband inside of Cathedral Square.   More about the Secondline Festival here:  https://portcitysecondliners.com/

Thursday January 18th  Annual Leinkauf Historic District Neighborhood Organization Membership meeting, where elections for "even numbered" LHDNO precinct Board members will be elected.  The meeting will be held at the First Christian Church at the corner of Stocking and Govt Streets and doors will open a bit early to give members time for refreshments and social time, and to review the new precinct maps to locate their area as well as update membership in order to vote in elections.  Doors open at 6pm; elections at 7pm.

Sat Jan 20th -- Third Annual Mobile Police Department Chili Cook-Off. 11-2 Cathedral Square Tickets are $5 and the proceeds benefit the Police Foundation and Crime Prevention Unit. For tickets, please contact Lt. Kay Taylor at (251)454-2346, or buy them at the Downtown Mobile Alliance office.
