MAY EVENTS

First Christian Church (corner of Gov't. and Stocking Street across from the old KMB Recycle Center) Bake Sale is Saturday, May 12th, 8am til noon. They do only two fund raisers a year, a Spring bake sale and a Fall Rummage sale, to help finance their ministries to the poor and homeless. Word is they have some of the best bakers around. So plan to stop by the corner of Government & Stocking for some great treats and to support our community neighbor is this worthy mission!

South Lafayette Street Association - 7am to noon, Neighborhood Street Sale!  Stop by and support a member of the Government Street Collaborative in their fund raising efforts!

The Oakleigh Garden District Society provides its annual Mother's Day Concern in the Park at Washington Square.  The event is open to all. In order to provide nice bathrooms for everyone, OGDS will be selling fifteen (15) VIP tables to offset the expense. Take some of the stress and headache out of your planning by having your tables, chairs, & floral arrangements set up and taken down for you. All you'll need to bring is your food & beverages and, of course, Mom.  Table quantities are limited at 15 so once they're sold, no additional tables will be available.  Your VIP Table purchase includes the following:  60" Rectangular Table
6 Chairs  Table Cloth  Mother's Day Floral Arrangement
Proceeds from the sale of VIP Tables will be used to furnish air-conditioned bathrooms that are as nice as the Mothers we'll be honoring.
